Welcome to the Diocese of Long Island
We are so glad you are including the Diocese of Long Island in your search and discernment process!
Stretching from Brooklyn Bridge to Montauk Point, Long Island is a progressive diocese that comprises many different kinds of communities, and churches of many languages, who serve them.
Under the leadership of Bishop Lawrence Provenzano, the Diocese of Long Island is dedicated to supporting ministry where parishes and their clergy feel called. With congregational development and outreach grants from Episcopal Ministries of Long Island and significant support from Episcopal Real Estate of Long Island, we support ministry in word, deed, and financial support.
Ongoing lay and clergy development is encouraged through the Mercer School of Theology, Diocesan Congregational Development Institute, the Cathedral of the Incarnation Center for Spiritual Imagination and trainings offered through Congregational Support.
Ongoing partnerships in deaneries and congregational development support through Mutual Ministry Review and other consultant- based services are readily available. We offer clergy-trained coaching and personal leadership development and support. With an available and experienced staff, we seek to provide direct service and ongoing relationships with all our clergy and congregations.
The Diocese of Long Island is a great place to build your ministry practice and grow in Spirit and grace. We welcome your inquiries!
